An angsty and sad but sweet NejiTen fic. It provides a good backstory for Tenten’s character whilst showing how she could have met Neji and the way in which their relationship may have developed from childhood to after the timeskip, as well as how they might have fallen for one another. It’s very well-written and they are both in character.

Summary: And if she stayed very, very still, she could almost hear the angels breathing… Tenten makes the choice between loving the living and loving the dead.

Rated: K+ (Though I think it should be at least T, if not M for the blood in there and implications of self-harm despite it not being in gory detail).
